7100 with ROM 2 .Mic lock in place Aprox. every hour picture freezes and unit locks up.Have to unplug and restart and everythings good for another hour. From what i read its the CAM ID getting hit? If one has sCammer how could the new CAM ID be appied to ROM 2. Or am i barking up the wrong tree?

Try downloading an updated tier list and use scammer to TRY to get a good cam ID then patch to card..hope this helps..PS..if you are generating a tier list put new cam ID in when you re-configure...Good luck....

You need to use Xcel for your rom2. Use the cam id from the card and it should be fine

Mine did the same thing. All I did is took away the SIRIUS, MONO and AUDIO CD tiers. I don't listen to them anyway. It has fixed all of my freezing. I guess 7200 can not handle to much tiers info. My current firm is 1.24, but I guess it is now 1.25 according to charly website

I'm not sure if this is related but I have a 2700 with a rom10 in the bedroom that has been going to a black screen and no audio for a few seconds then comes back on. It happened about every hour and just started this evening. Could be something on the way or it could be nothing.

Black screen is diferent. that can be caused ether by diglock or TSOP. By the way, There is a new firmware 125 is out for 7x00 as of yesterday. I've got it this morning via update (I've unlocked mic lock) and looks like it has taken care of the problem. I've placed wide open script to my rom10 WITHOUT ANY BLOCKER and it has been running 12+ hours without any problems. Try loading new firmware of remove blocker. 7x00 don't hit cards, only boxes. the card reader installed on them and 5000 model does not have a crystal to write to the card so it is save. at least I am testing for 4-5 years and was fine all of this time (so as my other few dozens boxes)

Hope that helps.

For over a week every time I'd turn my 2700 on it would ask if I wanted to accept an update. I kept hitting cancle because I've read people say they would suggest not accepting it till we knew what it was. Well I noticed today (it might of been yesterday too) that it doesn't ask me about it when I turn the ird on so maybe it forced the update. As far as running without a blocker....if it's not a rom2 I think I'll play it safe and continue to use a blocker. Also, I'm not using a diglock but it could be tstop related.

well......... sounds like you've got OTP rom10 hit. It has nothing to do with IRD. Your card got marked. try to read it in Nagra and see if it will ask you for BD0. if it will, you are on the same boat as lots of us. Nothing can be done with those cards as of yet. try using ATMEGA128

this is an Atmega card not a rom... i'm using the same program on a 3900 and it works fine, on the 2700 getting black screen, think it needs this firmware update, i'll try it.

How do you know its safe to remove the mic lock? Id hate to remove it to take an update and end up with location 0.
