The Basics. Bell 5800 converted to dish 501. Ar105-c installed with new 1.5c beta. OJ1 mod. Vid mod. Receiver was working fine for a very long time. This morning no picture, no video, power light staying on. Finally found that the wire from the lock to pin 7 on the eeprom came off. Reconnected powered up, went into system info screen to find location 01. Was exiting out, BAM screen went black.

Erased sa60 put back into stream. Powere light blinks on and off for about 5 min then shuts off.

Went to reload flash 1 and 2 and here is where the real problem comes in. Erased flash 2 3 times, changed over to flash one in jkeys, device codes not recognized error and cannot get back into the receiver at all.

What can I do from here. Have read tons of info on this and cannot figure it out. I can no longer enter flash programming in jkeys. Jkeys will still recognize the receiver. Should, or can I junkyard fix this?

If flash 2 is erased, the J/Y will do no good anyway.
try just reflashing flash 2 and restreaming see what happens.

I cannot get back into the flash program mode of jkeys. I get error codes ffff/ffff and ffff/ffff (jedec).

jkeys will still recognize the receiver as a 5100 etc. But cannot enter flash programming.

What are my options at this point?

Read, we discussed this very problem a few times...

I had the same problem with AR105-c beta flash. I think it locks JKEYS frrom being able to erase or program flash 1 or 2. Reflash the lock with the oddcircuits ar-105c ver 1.4 first, then try using JKEYS. Let us know if that helps.

Just jumping we#0 and we#1 will bypass the lock to see if it is a problem. Move the lock jumper to the program postion, jump the we lines and try it.

reflashed the lock with 1.4 no problem. Still cannot access flash programming on jkeys. Without the OJ1 mod turned on I get nothing under the build config portion of jkeys. With the OJ1 mod on I get y's with 2 dots on top of them. Is this a problem with the lock being installed on the machine. I changed the wiring of the lock for the new 1.5 c beta flash. Am I better of without the lock in this situation. My logic is that if I restore the receiver to pre lock status, I should have no problems accessing the tsops? But my next question is because my flash 2 is empty, am I going to have a problem accessing the flash anyway? Ideas.

Pulling the lock out of the loop seemed to do the trick. Jumped WE 0 and 1 and put the jumper on program. I was able to get back into the receiver and reflash. Whew! I have now restored the receiver to post wire comming off condition.

I would like to give a big thanks to skinerd. The members here make Mili's my choice for questioning. It is the answers I get here that help me out. They are straight to the point and very helpful.

Next,

Here is my lock configuration, I have changed the wiring to match the 1.5c beta release.

Lock Receiver
c1 DQ1
c2 DQ4
c3 was DQ7 no longer connected
c7 LT
c8 RM
B1 WE 0 or out
B3 Epm
b5 Rst
D1 ce 1 connected
d2 ce 2 no longer connected
d3 We 1 or in
v vcc right side resistor c81
g ground left side resistor c81

has anyone else played with the configuration of the wiring for the lock, and is this correct?
