Hello all, and please, patience for the newbie.

I have run AVRs and a DSSREV in the past. I don't have boxkeys for my PVR (BEV) so I was looking to move to Magic Card instead of my dead REV.

Is the Magic Card 2 superior to the 1? Are they created by the same guys? By looking at the two sites (www.magiccard.tv and www.magiccard2.tv) it would appear they are NOT the same people, which doesn't make any sense to me...

Just looking for advice, success stories, before I lay out my hard-earned cash on a new toy for testing...

Much appreciated.

YOU WILL HAVE TO JTAG TO GET BK'S , YOU HAVE TO HAVE THEM .WHAT IRD YOU USIN? IS IT JTAGGABLE FIRST OF ALL
Buy From Here . Switch To Dave .
You Decide Whether You Prefer The Mc1 Or 2 .
I'd Probably Go With The 2 If I Was Just Starting Out

What do you mean BK's?

I'm using a 5800 PVR. It does not have a Jtag port.

Before asking a lot of questions, read a little, there is a major discussion going on about the MC1/MC2 situation.
Jtagging to obtain boxkeys is cover in the newbie guides and thoroughly discussed in the receiver forums.
