301.10???-dead

hi all im running a 301.10 with rom 10 it has a digital lock in place
few weeks ago in the ECM the reciever stopped working
it powers up for a minute then just turns off and nothing works
the card is locked to REV a23 also

what do i do with the reciever--- i just ordered a j-tag and just wondering should i do something with the t-sop or im not sure what else never used a jtag before

so please help

Turn your lock of, take the card out. It may be just trying to update.

just tried shutting lock off

but now it powers up and stays on

and after about 5 minute the green light starts to flash??

im not sure what to do??
is it dead and gone

When your unit powers up, the green light on, are you able to access the menu function of the receiver?

no the screen is black and the remote does not do anything
it does not even power off??
i should be getting my j-tag today so i hope if i figure out how to hook that up it will solve things

Its taking the sortware update leave it alone till the light goes out or you get a message to insert your card. Have you checked your location ID, 0000001 = you will need to jtag

i let it updatd 10 min
nothing still
now today im trying it and it turns on for about 10 sec then turns off

i can not get anything on the tv screen it is black and remote does nothing

i tried to use the j-tag but it says error reading from flash??
not sure what else to do

Try restreaming without card , leave it a long time, 10 min is NOT a long time. Plug it in with sat and go to work ,, it may have needed more time to update.
Had a lazy 301 or maybe the update was not instream.

also had one that refused to update but turned out neighbor had hit my dish just before I tried the update, no sat signal when dish was implanted LNB in ground.

Jtag should still happen though

great that worked

i took out the card shut the lock off and plugged it back in after 45 min of updating
its working great.....
