Does anybody know how long it takes to stream a 4700. Mine has been blinking for 45 min and its still going. My 3100 takes about 10 min. I heard that 4700 was slower but now I'm wondering

Updating usually takes less than 10 minutes. If your 4700 has beenstreamed for that long without taking the update, it isn't going to.4700 that have been provider changed fom bell to dish to bell, or dish to bell to dish don't sector erase/stream update very well sometimes. If your trying a repair to recover from an ecm, you might have to write a full tsop to it. I will say it for the 100th time it seems. It's soooooooo important to read and save your tsop/eep after evey firmware. If you do this, you will always have your own repairs at hand.

ronb, does that IRD have a lock on it? If so, and even if it's switched to 'OFF', it may not update if the lock was not installed correctly. You may have to remove lock, replace the R259 and then it will update.

This unit doesn't have a lock it was just a plain old bev ird and I'm trying to switch it to dish. Is it possible to just erase the bev tsop and get a dish one and edit it in flash edit, write it to ird. Erasing sa30 doesn't seem to work for me.
