hi i have my tsops and eeprom backups, just wondering what order to erase and reprogram a 3100. I did it once before, a long time ago, and it seems to me i did something wrong and it took about an hour. those j31's get tiring to hold after a few minutes. any experts out there? this reciever is a sub so i don't want anything funny going onto the card.

J31 jtag is a non buffered model. You may have to reflash several times to get a good write, but can be done. First, erase (full) flash2. Without unplugging jtag, immediately reflash (flash2). Then do the same for flash1. Again, without unplugging anything, reflash the eeprom.
To save yourself further hand-cramps, you can alternatively do the same as above (for flash2) but for flash1, simply erase (full) and let the stream update it for you. Take note that either way, the eeprom needs to be reflashed.
Good Luck!

If you're simply erasing a SA sector (for FW updating), you don't need to reflash the eeprom. The steps above is for doing a full reflash.
