tv with dtv?

i am in canada and i have never seen these, but i work with someone who bought an RCA tv with an ird intragrated in the tv. first, do these exist?
second, since the dtv is useless, is thee any way that dish will work in these?

yep, they exist although according to the guys over at my local electronics shop they are quite rare here in Canada. The one I saw with my own eyes a couple years ago was a RCA 60" projection job, don't remember the model number, that they got for a trade show. At the time it sold for $1800CDN.

I may be wrong but IMO the internal ird is useless for DN.
