You are going to have to check the installation of the lock, check all the sloder points for a cold solder joint, you can do this by tugging on the wire,GENTLY though, have you cut the trace correctly?
If ird was working before install and now isn't all points to install.

Yes it can you either need to scrap the lacquer off or use a flux solder, you won't get a good connection any other way.

Did you use the latest nagless lock for the 301-010? If you used the old style one you will have to jtag the receiver and install the P188 software version. The P189 SW ver has built in lock detecting software.
If it is the old lock be prepared. Charlie has started forceing upgrades by cutting off channels from the older SW versions. So far just getting ready. But it's just a matter of time before he starts activating the new maping.

anybody
Do I need both? I have a couple 301's and was using one just to learn to program cam knowing it would get winked and thought would be a good oportunity to learn to flash one now. So now I have a 2700 and 2 301 that are addressoooo1. when I flash them do I need both locks and also should I flash before or after I install locks.
Thanks for the help people. I been "doing" Dave for a year now and am ready to jump the fence and plan on getting private support soon and all the reading I have done looks like this is the place to land!!! Also I voted today and plan to dailey after the reading I done about helping the cause.

Check the place you got it from. I believe it as an extra connection "DQ7". My digital lock is a recent one, it is a not a 3.5 but a 4.0 called a "Charlie buster".
