eprom program

I have a 2800 dish and can flash the tsop but when i try to program the eprom i get an error 0x0 . is this thing dead?? i did a search but couldn't find any help.

Does it work? If not he eeprom may be damaged. easy to change those.

well, when i plug it in the tv screen goes black but the ird light doesn't come on there has been no lock work or stuff like that done to it ....man i don't know ... if i could find another eprom i would try that i guess

Mouser.com is where I but eeprom chips from, cost like $0.50...

Skynerd i live close to that place but you can't walk in the place and buy it you have to mail order and i don't know which one to buy because there are so many
