View Full Version : Does every 301.10 have jtag?

Even if it's not shown and a hole has to be cut? Want to know before I buy cable. Also does original magic card still work or will I need to upgrade to MC 2?

All 301's have jtag port....-010 an d-013.
MC1 still going strong.....

Now how do I know exactly where to cut hole? jtag is on bottom of board right?

or there is always the EJTAG on top of the board. You will have to buy the appropriate Jtag cables for that one. I believe it is the J31. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

The ejtag port on top can be used with a very simple 5 resistor jtag, look for info on a simple jtag it is the easiest way, not nescessarily the preferred way, but the easiest.

And which software do I need? It can be downloaded off this site right? So a top ejtag port does same thing a bottom jtag does?

Jkeys, and yes, the top port is directly connected to the bottom port.

Thanks a lot. Are the new MC2 cards more resistent to ecms?

The Ejtag pins on the top do NOT line up with the bottom square pads...put it up to light to see the trace for each connection

Would it be easier to just cut hole in bottom because I see I have to solder pins onto ejtag. Does bottom jtag have pins already there and if so would the same jtag cable work for top and bottom?

No they don't "line up", but they are directly connected. Look on the bottom of the board.....there is a trace from each square pad to a pin hole in the ejtag.
