Can I use a Dishnet 522 Receiver with my existing ExpressVu system? I am told the Receiver has Dishnet Software on it right now. Note that I am paying for my ExpressVu Services and just want to add a PVR Receiver to my system.
Thank You

Not possible right now since you cannot Jtag the IRD. Perhaps if it had virgin firmware and you went through the normal set-up it may download ExpressVu software but I'm not sure about that.

Although I have very little idea what you just said, I will take your word for it. :)
I was just looking at Jtag's and such, but I have no idea how any of that works.
Thanks for your help.

I've been looking at the same scenario and have been wondering if a Junkyard fix would do it?

Not sure if anyone is even interested in finding any JY connections. Fact be it that the internal smart card is basically a yellow Dish 500 card even if you manage to get the IRD switched to a 5200 I don't think it would still work because the embedded chip might still be set for DishNet.
