Locking a 4000 IRD?

has anyone had any success locking a 4000. I tried the switch method ( too simple) and it nags way too much.

Yes. A 4000 can be locked. I recommend it if you're going to be pointing to Charlie.

What 'switch method' are you referring to? If you need instructions on how to install a d/lock on your 4000, let us know the lock model you have, I'll post the 'How to'

and it showed a very simple SPDT switch on the write enable. I cant see this not nagging all the time. I have digital locks ready to install. (2 chip version) and am soon building 3 chip version for auto reset.

Good to know. I have the locks u got info on where to find those locations? Much quicker than tracking them down myself.
