Hi there, I have possibily a dumb question for you.I have been runnig yvous for a while now basiclly trouble free other than intermitantly blacking out for a few seconds at random(unable to resolve). My question is I got a rom 10 card I'd like to try is there a greater risk of been ecm'd with plastic than emu and can you go back and forth between emu testing and plastic without major work?
Thanks

Not sure why you would want to do this, unless you are bored to death and want new projects. You need an ISO programmer, a good blocker, and if the blocker doesn't work you can be stream locked and that rom 10 will be of no use. You can use the card or the emu either one for testing.

twotone - Why not try a DOS Emu Program
Here is a link to a Cemu you could try. It's from the Files section.

I also have blackout problems no matter what I try.
I am running Yvous3.0 with a 233 mhz laptop ,Win 98.
I have updated tiers and anything I could try but blackouts are always back within 3-4 days.
Tonight they are really bad/

Blacking out meaning the screen is black but you can see the title and guide, right? If so, are you sure you have the latest parity keyes and all?

As for windows ME or 2K or XP. I used yvous for all of them and have no problem with any of them. Yvous 3.0 works so well for me that I don't need to learn anything else. Cemu worked good for me a while too but I am okay with Yvous for now.

Are there any HOW TO,s for blackout problems or info on parity keys?
I have been attempting to find a cure for this for a while but always thought the problem was tier related.

If the blacking out is parity key related would that explain the random blacking out.Sometimes it goes all day without blacking out than other times it will blackout 2 3 times in an hour than fine the rest or the day. There is nothing consistant about it.

Windows ME is a terrible OS. It has so many memory leaks, thus making it terrible for emulation. This is a good place to start resolving your blackout problem. I know it works for a few people, but overall, ME is not the way to go. Get your hands on Win 2k or XP if you can. They work the best. I use Win 2k on one machine and XP on another. You can find them on the internet, just need to know where ;). My guess is ME's memory leaking is causing your blackouts...try a machine with Win 2k or XP and see if that helps. Just a thought...
