Has anyone ever heard of this Digital Lock 3.5? It's supposed to be an ECM blocker.

"Digital Lock 3.5 is an ideal way to continue watching your TV, avoiding to rewrite your TSOP everytime an ECM occurs. Our one-of-a-kind design mimics communication to the TSOP 100%. Bypassing ECM and software updates in stream to a buffered memory."

It is working and is for sale on my order pages, it is however for Echostar receivers (DishNet and Bell ExpressVu) not DTV ones.

EEPROM locks are most likely not required, BUT make damn sure you have a backup of it as well as your TSOP(S).

My angle is that most ECM's will target the TSOP and not the EEPROM. Re-Flashing a chip seems more realistic then physically modifying it. The chances of destroying the chip are greater when physically modifying it(static / over-force / heat) than by re-flashing it in my opinion.

If somebody can convince me otherwise, then give it your best shot!
