Hi folks
I have a Phillips 2700 IRD in Toronto, an ExpressVu Dish (using it as a Dish500) to which I added a 2nd LNB about 6 weeks ago to in order to add the 110 bird (I previously only had the 119 bird). For almost two months I've tried everything to get both birds working at the same time, no luck (obviously I go to Installation & Setup menu to select the 110 sat. setup). I've switched LNB's & still get 119, replaced cables & connectors, I've reversed the cables to LNB's, checked the SW21 switch and everything checks out, I just cannot get both going at the same time. I cannot get 110 at all anymore no matter what I do (I did have it twice when I first installed the 2nd LNB). Sometimes the receiver defaults to 110 after trying to get 119 back after testing fails with 110, I don't understand why it does that. I am very confident (including help from a knowledgeable friend to double check my dish alignments) that everything is "good to go" with the dish's alignment, connectors, cables & SW21 switch. I'm up & running fine with 120 signal strenth on the 119 bird right now. I'm wonderfing if the receiver needs a firmware update to receive both birds... is that possible? Also, is it safe to allow "System Upgrades" in the "Installation and Setup" menu?
Many thanks!
