Hello all,

1. Just wondering which card rev is the best to purchase one at. Obviously you don't want a rev383 on a ROM 3. And I don't know much about ROM 10's.

2. What is the rev's that you do not want on a ROM 10? And what is recommended?

3. Once you fix a card. Does the blocker keep it at a rev to where you can get back into it?

4. When changing the parity key's. Where do you do this? In NagraEdit? If so, which tab is it under?

I am currently using a Dual Crystal Iso Programmer bought from mili.

Thanks to all.

Sorry for being such a noob!

i am a noob too, but i think i can help. if i am wrong, someone correct me please.
1.rev 383 can be popped with a modded loader. i guess anything under 383 cause u can pop them without a modded loader.(for rom 3's). i have one that was 381, and opened it and it went to 372.
2. a23 in rom 10 is the same as rev383. can be popped using mod loader, anything under can be opened using freeware and dual crystal. rev a16 is virgin image.
3. when u apply a blocker, the rev artificially rises to the rev that dish i currently at, but when u unlock the card and do a full clean, it comes down to the rev necessary to write again.(USE A BLOCKER - MILI"S IS GOOD)
4. i've never done this, but i think u do it in nagra, and it is in the data editor, but i am not sure.
hope this helps.
u can get alot of info by using the search tab, and there is a bunch of how to's in this site that are very handy that would have answered most of these questions
good luck

to change parity keys open nagraedit 4.1 ,read card go to data editor. data space, then the blue 7's are the parity keys click on them and either change them to the new ones or put parity 0 and 1 to all 00's and apply blocker and write to card and put it in stream to update to the current 1.
And for a blocker u can use Milis or GCSB2.51 thats what i use never had a problem
