dp 301 problem

I have a dp 301 and it keeps asking me to do check switch every time I stuf it off. Any idea why?

Also, the person I bought it off of doesn't know the parental lock password. I did the Diagnostics > info >right > left > TV/VCR
This opened up all the channels but I need to lock some channels so not everyone can watch them. when I go to locks, it still asks me for a password.

Any help is appreciated!!!

It might have a softlock on it?? u should save the tsops and eeprom then download numax creator from the download section and use the wonka utillity and open ur eeprom and it says password and there is a four digit number and thats it.
My 301.010 does the same thing i have to do a switch check every time i pull the card and put it in the software might be softlocked and for the new software version the hard reset does not work anymore u can use flash edit to remove the softlock on the software
