hello my fellows friends. i Have a model 2700 there is a jtag port at the bottom . My question is can i use this IRD? and also if I get "ECMed" will I be able to stream update it? since i know that the digital lock don't work anymore. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes you can use this IRD for testing.And if you are ecm'ed it can be easily fixed.But I do stress the use of a lock.BEV is not active in the ECMs but Dish does it daily.

Thanks alot, Buddy . I just have one more question i thought that the lock does not work anymore. or does it on certain model ?:confused:

the lock has been compramised on the 3100.013 model ird for dish....no reports of any other problems with locks.

I personally would not install a lock on a 2700 if pointing to BEV. The 2700 is the easiest IRD to 'test' with. A buffered jtag is really not necessary for this model. Get a solderless Quad Jtag, no locks, you'll be fine.

Thank you all For your reply I've decided to go without the lock since i know hopw to get it stream updates now oit's time to start watching tv:D
