Yes, it was operational until yesterday, version 89. I'm assuming it was the key change that did it in but I don't see anywhere to change the public key?

Use NagraEdit and put the Keys in the .bin.

do you change keys in your bev.381 bin ? Just copy and paste new keys in this file? Or do you have to use jeepers and your jtag to change public keys? Any help would be much appreciated!!!!!!!!

blackdog -
Create a new folder and name it something like - binwithnewkeys -
Open NagraEdit 4.1
Click File - open Card Image - Select Card Image Type - Click OK
Click Date Editor - Put The New Keys In The Bottom Right
Click File - Save Card Image - Name It What Your Emu Program Requires
Save It In The New Folder(binwithnewkeys)
Close NagraEdit
Right Click On The New Folder(binwithnewkeys) and send it to the Emu program
You should be ask to overwright the existing bin - if not you didn't name it correctly when you save it. You can rename it by Right Clicking on it and selecting rename.

Bear,
I dont know where to send it as far as emu program. What I tried is to save changes and it creates a new bin. Then I delete the old bin so it doesent recognize the old one verse the new one. When i put floppy back it comes up with program guide and correct time and all but all channels are black. I have no t updated tier or anything like that in awhile but it seems to want to work I just may be missing something. I am a newb that is ready to pull my hair out.

Follow the Instructions!
Do you get the preview channels?
Do not delete the old bin because you want to be ask to overwright it. That way you know you named it corrcet.,(you alread have so now you need to make sure the one you made is named correct) When the .bin is saved NagraEdit adds .bn3 to the name. You need to remove the .bn3 from the name. TRUST ME THIS WORKS!
Check the bin you created with the new Keys and see if it is named BEV381.bin.bn3 or something like it. It's been a while for me so I am going be memory.

Bear,
Ok, I do have previews. I copied a new floppy from original. I open up my bev381 file and open card image and click bev381 file. I change keys and then to 01 C5 FB 21 37 B6 C0 5E then I hit save card image and it says bev381 in file area and save as type rom3 card image files(*.bn3) so i type in newkeys in file area and hit save. At the top of nagra it says Nagra Edit 4.0 newkey.bn3 so then I open patch and make my strings in ezppv maker I use and patch that. When I go back where the newkeys file is It is still a .bn3. How do I change and where? I understand everything except how to get rid on bn3.

You Right Click on the Bin File and a side bar comes up - Click on Rename. Now you can put your curser in front of the .bn3 - Click - and hit delete 3 times so the .bn3 is gone. Now Click on a blank part of the screen and it is saved without the .bn3

Double check the ini file. Some of the emu programs use the keys provided in the ini, this will override whatever is in the bin. By the way most of the programs will roll key automatically, just be patient - wait for 5 to 10 min, and never turn off the PC guys !

Bear,
I figured out what to do. I needed to go into windows explorer and check file extenstion to show whole file name to change it. I also had to rename file exactley what original file name was because that is whats in the emu .ini file.
So im up again but now im getting something about attention 323 the ppv limit has been exceeded. I have never had that before. I make my strings with ezppv and thats it. Where do I need to change ppv limit? Would it be while making strings or in bin file with nagra. Sorry for all the questions but I sure appreciate the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't know if this will work for your hdwr but I go to channel 101 and let the keys autoroll if you have that capability. It worked for Atmega and my subbed cam. Good luck.
