I see a 301 on fleabay that has UHF, I know the 311 is uhf, is someone trying to screw someone here because I have never seen a 301 with uhf but I could be wrong.

Hi Crazy,
1/ As far as my limited knowledge goes, theres no such thing as factory UHF capabilities on a 301/3100 unless it has the converter (specifically designed for the 3100 that clips on to the top of the remote w/the base unit being near the IRD. (These work great by the way):)
2/ Or maybe they're throwing in a repeater (the triangular shaped units) that don't work pass the warranty date.
3/ Or they don't have a clue what they're talking about!

Sounds like a pretty high likelihood someone is trying to sell a 311 as a 301. This kind of thing is pretty common on Ebay when it comes to sat equipment.

Yeah, they only wanted 30 bucks for it, buy it now, but they pulled the auction for some reason, I thought it was fishy as well. Just to clarify, the receiver showed a front view of the receiver with the antennae hooked to it. the little red flag hanging off of it and everything, then they had a picture of the back of it where you could see the label but no antenna and it said DP301 id 013. I was thinking scam all the way. But thought maybe they made one at some point and I never heard about it, that is the only downside to a 301 over a 4900 in my opinion, I like my uhf
