help flashing

help flashingi need to no if i am doing this right.restarted my computer with floppy inside.i am trying to flash the unlooper for dish and can not get it right.i downloaded the program onto my floppy,when i try and hit enter it say's device is not connected.i heard them same word'd three year's ago when i had an hu card,my os is a xp,back then i had a millenium,i don't no if thats my problem.need some help please.

If your running XP, I'd flash with xpatmel. There's a version in the download section that already has the newd flashes in it. Change your timing settings in xpatmel by right clicking on the bar in the middle of the window and opening a hidden menu. Change settings to 60/50/1. If you want to continue to try and use your current flash program then you probably need to have your loader plugged into com port 1.

if this is the file you are talking about,all it has is eight hex files with no readme.not sure how to use it.i am waiting for a modded loader to come maybe that will help me out.
