I have had my ROM3 card working great for a week now in my 2700 and 3700 receiver.. But now my receiver cannot locate a signal from 110 or 119. The cable that I ran under my house about 2 years ago is what I am using. I had the 119 bird's strength locked at 118 and the 110 bird's locked at 108. But now there is nothing, 0 strength. I took the receiver and a small tv out to the dish and wired up a brand new 10 ft cable to the dish and it worked.

But what is weird is that I cannot even get a signal in my other bedroom, that cable was ran about 2 years ago too. Both cables are about 75-100 feet long and have worked flawlessly for Dish and DTV for me in the past.

Do I just need to buy new coax cable or what?

The cable that is in my living room has been there the longest of any. About 6 years and it still works.

Thank to all!

it sounds like it is a cable problem.

Your fittings could be the problem too. Before I bought a bunch more cable I'd double check to make sure that it isn't a bad fitting. I've seen water get in there a kill em, even with nice compression fittings. Pro installers put in drip loops for a reason. You can usually fix it by just cutting a couple inches of cable off and putting on a new fitting.

Had the same prob, mine was the last few feet there was a join, it looked good but one of the connections was hooped. New connection and away it went.

THanks. I cut about 5 inches off of the cable on the dish side and it fixed it. I did the same thing to the other one. But still have the same problem. I guess I will pull it all out and look at it.
