I understand that a 25 pin cable is needed for a MC2 programmer, what does
the other end of the cabke need to look at and where do you plug it in the
pc port.
Can this cable be purchased at the local radio shack ofr best buy.

for your mc programer to work correctly. just plug it in the printer port , without a cable. will most likley not work with a cable. you may have to remove the screws that hold on the shield on. DO NOT DISCARD,as thit is your ground take the paper off of bread tie for quick fix.
share the joy were all in this together...send2r

You need a 25 pin through serial cable. Make sure it says 'straight Thru' on the lable. I wouldn't get one over 6 feet long, but you could probably get away with it. It needs to be male on the computer end and female on the MC programmer end. Male/Male versions of this cable are common and inexpensive. Just get one of these and a gender changer. That way you will be more versital as to what you can hook to the programmer end of the cable. The cable and gender changer should run about $8 all together. (although I've seen the same cable from Belkin at places like Office Depot for $20)
