Another one bites the dust. :) How much on Ebay?
OK, did you turn the Vid mod ON?
Did you turn the Lock OFF?
That's Vid mod on lock off to erase and write.
Since your problem was with the Digital Lock, why did you screw with the Tsop's?
You should ck and dbl ck your DL or remove it and start from scratch.
That's like my monitor on my PC doesn't work since I put a new Video card in, so lets try and re-install the OS.

ok well everything is fucked up, this receiver was hit when i got it so i fixed it and i installed the vid mod, and im sure the vid mod is installed fine, cause thats how i repaired it, so anyways the receiver was working fine before i put the digital lock in, after i finished installing the dl, the receiver wouldnt green on, so i bridged the trace i had to cut and i took the lock out, still wouldnt green up, so i automatically assumed it was the sofrware...the fan would run and all, and ive had this problem before but it wasnt this serious...or maybe it was...

OK, well, I think possibly you have splashed some extra solder on the board. Take manifyfing glass and check, dbl check all the area's of the board where you laid heat to it. You could have a small piece of solder (size of a hair) bridging two runs todether (Even check the IC's around where you soldered). I have done that and use solder wick to take excess solder off.
I have done this and the no power up (Green light) is one of the symptoms.

after numerous times, ive got into it, and i erased then programmed the flash2, erasedflash1, then reprogrammed the eeprom....and its sitting in the stream for the last 10 minutes, its not turning on to tell me to put a smart card in and nothing happens when i do put one in or try to turn it on. pin 7 is lifted off the board, does it need to be down in order to update? my other 508 after reprogramming it, turned on within 30 seconds...

ok forget what ive said before, i got it to program now, i programmed with with 075, and i put it in the stream for 1 minute...and it turned on after downloading the info for flash 1, so i slipped a yellowcard in and took it out (mind you it was married to a different receiver). and i turned the receiver off. I left for about 10 minutes and i come back
black screen with white letters, looks like DOS

ok so obviously its updating. but its been like this for 20 minutes, and the screen will refresh once every so often, maybe every 5 minutes....whats up here?
