This is a 301.10 with current Dish software(P229) . After doing the switch test and it says Sat Signal verified ok . But when I hit the Sysinfo. button and and it does its 1-8 test , I get a green on 119 and a X on 110 .
Although I seem to be NOT missing any channels at all on the 110 bird . Wondering why that X is there ??

Its a D500 with a legacy twin lnb .

Thank You

What does a switch test in the setup show?

It shows correct . 119 odd and even and 110 odd and even , satellite signal verified . Just wondering if it gets that X because of the NAG 2 only TP's ? Everything appears to be working but I'm just curious as to why that X would show there .

Thx

Exactly samr problem, 119 has siganal 99 and 110 has no siganal. 119 ok on check switch but 110 has X. No channels are missing for 110. That is wierd. Just curious why I am getting all the channels. 301.05 with 229 sotware.

Lately DN has had a lot of wierd problems. It's happening with sub and test units. It seems to be different on every model. At least in the eight models I'm running. My sub as well as my test units. Just got my new cams and it's even showing up in those units.

So far they show up then dissappear in minutes or hours. Some make the receiver useless some just exibit some strange things like described here.

Personally I think it's related to the card swap. So far 5 of my buds have gotten the new cards in the last 3 weeks. All these wierd symptoms started showing up in that time frame for us at least. May have something to do with activating all those new cams. Maybe the older systems are not responding well to the stream being overloaded with new activations. Who knows.

I spoke with a buddy of mine , he's a Dish installer and he said if all the channels are there , not to worry . I always have to know the reason WHY when it comes to these kinda things :D

On a side note , now if I could just get the old 2700 to update I would be happy ( for a while) . Yep , the update without permission is checked off . It just wont go further than 797 .

Well I would assume that if you get signal from 119 then you should automatically get some signal on 110w if not same then different transponders. But no signal on 110 still get all the channels. I will find out why sooner or later. that is just me. I have to know WHY? otherwise no fun.

Well when you go to the main signal page and select the 110 sat ( and go thru the tr's), does it show signal strength at all or is it just the X in the 1 box on the first sysinfo. page ?
