BEV System Update

BEV has a New System Update, is it ok to download, or is it a ECM? IM using MC camless. :)

I know now what this update does. After so many hours of use a dialog box comes on, a nag, and said insert new card that came with package sent to you in order to continue to view programs.

Dont download update at this time!

I'm having some trouble too,, I keep losing the signal and it actually says for a min "wrong Sat"!!

Its similar to when my receiver didnt take the last update..


I'm currently running E535, and I've not been promted for the new update.. ..


Its snowing outside so it might be the weather but it seems fishy that it says Wrong Sat!!


Anyone else have $0.02??

i did the update on my legit bev pvr's and all it did was give me a new system info software screen. Eagle have you recieved your new rom 102 (purple) smart cards from bev yet? if you have that is why you are getting that "swap your card nag"

Been running this new update for a few weeks on my 5900 and have been having nothing but problems. The receiver freezes from time to time and refuses to do anything unless you either pull the card or hold the power button until it reboots. It sometimes fucks up when you schedule a recording, it either starts to record and nothing is actually being recorded or it starts up and freezes.

I don't watch bev that much. but I haven't noticed any problems since I took the update. I really can't be of much help since I'm lucky if I watch a hour of bev a week. Sometimes I watch a movie over there that dish doesn't have. And the occasional porn with the ol' lady. But haven't seen the problems you are mentioning in this small amount of time.

You can't with a PVR you'll lose all your recordings.

I think the problem lies within my LNB..

I connected my DTV Box and moved the dish and the DTV signal was erratic as well..


One intersting thing to note was the guide was working on the DTV system with my old HU card..


As I recall from march the guide was totally blank..
