where to have infortion for DTV reciever DRD 430RG convert to dish 301-13

please help any information around here to convert DRD 430 rg to dish 301-13

i have one dtv reciever 430 rg i can erased the tsop and i can reflash the tsop
of 301-13 it finished 100% and it showed ird and box key every thing like 301-13 has, but one thing problem the green light not turn on

so where can i get more to do to make my reciever work

here is alot of info on that Also check ID disscusion , but I will save you some time I have 2 RCA 430 ( I bought both for $15 , just specifically for this ) I have not done anything to them yet cause there needs to be a firmware fix for the tuner among a few other things , i don't think anyone has one fully working , If someone does there lucky cause out of all that i've read No one has had complete succes this link is about chonging it into FTA but it also talks about the 301.013

It only works on certian models of the RCA DTV 430 model.

I can confirm it works with a 430rg.
You have to use the hacked tsop image that was released specifically for this conversion.
The only catch is you have to use a Dishnet remote control, and you cannot use an sw21 to catch both birds. You can only have one bird at a time.

This works about as good as the DTV to FTA hack you were looking into. Give it up, they don't work with the tsop mods and other stuff thats required these days. Also you can't use switches which makes this pretty pointless. Good to see you are using the search tool though.

One thing I know is you have to have the certain chip in there to work, either the B or V or something, so make sure you got the 430rg with the right chip or your wasting your time...............

Here is how I jtaged this 430RG back when. It has the sti MVB chip and you need the 430 with the sti MVC chip to get color. I tagged this for DTV and never tried to convert it to dish as it has the wrong chip. It was years ago, but I thought I'd post these so you have at least a pic of where the connections go and what is involved. The switch is to unlock the tsop so you can program it. I used a buffered jtag for this and soldered in a connector to plug into my buffered jtag I built. I am not sure the what the connections are at this point, but hope this helps.

Compaqsat I don't know as I never did it, I jtagged my 430 to nozkt it for direct tv use and never used it for that either.

and also where to get the hacked image?If you don't even know how to use Jkeys I would just but a 301 and do all the reading on it you can. This is not 100% and you will probably run into problems. You can only get one sat at a time instead of 2 or 3. You need atleast sat 110 and119 to get the majority of the channels. For what a 301 is worth, it is not worth trying to do this to find out it doesn't work right. Don't take this as bashing you but I see all the people here saying yes it can be done, but...... Listen to them, they have been there and are just trying to steer you from a head ack to save 75 bucks. Again I am not bashing you so don't take it as that. If you are doing this to learn then carry on and ignore what I just said. but sence you don't know what jkeys is and how to use it then I would assume you are new to this and lack the skills involve to do the mod to the receiver(which I think there is if I remember) and then to jtag your receiver to read/write with jkeys.

You are inquiring about a very old thread. You can pick up a DP301 and ROM102 on Fleabay for around $50 if you look really hard...why punish yourself with trying to convert a DTV box (which MIGHT give you Mediocre results- at BEST).
