Ok, I was using my MC1 in married sub-mode when I got ecmed.

At that point I did not own a JTAG buffer or anything. THus, I didn't back up my TSOP. But when I go to use my jtag on this ECM'd receiver, I'm able to back up both flashes (301 receiver).

My question, it may sound stupid, is my receiver still capable of being fixed even though I didn't originally back up my TSOP?

i think i killed my receiver. I'm trying to restore my TSOP back up on a 301.13 which is a dual tsop and I'm not getting any response. WHen I use Wall's program, the bin's load fine for both flashes, but the box key still says FFFFFFFFF. If I manually enter the correct box keys it still comes FFFFFFFF when I run Jkeys or Walls after the download. The receiver won't start up and there is no green light when I plug it in.

In JKEYS, its not reading the IRD or Box Key. What's my next step?

Also, if I have a buffered JTAG, can I determine how many flash memory chips are installed?

Will it come up under the Flash part of Jkeys with the option of Flash 1 and Flash 2?

so what do I do?

I get the FFFFF and the yyyyyy thing when I run JKEYS?

Also, how do you determine the single/dual flash chip on your receiver?

here is a pic. of my 301.13. I can't tell if this is a dual or single TSOP. It doesn't have the Omega chip labled or anything else.

It has two AMD chips and a LSI chip.

mangoop...

Either you took the picture in the wrong place....or it's really a 301-010 ...not 013..

301-010 has two (dual) TSOP and they line up perfectly next to each other...in a straight line fashion..

301-013 model made in 2001 has dual TSOP while 2002/beyond has a single TSOP, The dual TSOP model, the TSOP chips are not lined up in a straight line. One would be sitting half way down from another ...

Check again ....

You might be right. It could be a 301-010 because I'm going off of what JKEYS is telling me and what my TSOP backups are telling me.
My JKEYS and backups are telling me that it is a 301-13.

But based on what you are saying and looking at the picture I took, which is accurate BTW, it's a 301-010.

If this is true, then JKEYS should not be relied upon. You must always open your receiver up in order to see what type of receiver it actually maybe.
