View Full Version : Newbie Question Regarding Fortec LifeTime Ultra
Hi, I recently got my Fortec Lifetime Ultra, I want to receive the following,
Dishnet 119, 110, and ExpressVu 91. I just want to now if this is correct in order to recieve the 3 satellites; I would need an oval dish to pick up Dishnet 119 & 110, and a single dish to pick up ExpressVu 91. Thank You All.

You are correct. The dual type lnb will pick up 110 and 119 and the single should be used for 91. You may want to consider a super type dish such as the T-55 or something similiar made by Multi Dish that allows placement of more lnbs for use with one dish. Either way you go, you will need a 4x1 diseqc switch and when looking at dual lnbs be sure not to get the old dish 500 twin legacy or quad that has built in switches. The best bet is to use dishpro lnbs or use seperate legacy dual lnbs if you are going with a DN dish. I've attached a link to a file that I think will help you get started in setting up your Fortec Ultra. You will also want the standard lnbs. Do a search for the Panset Testing Manual posted in the forum and it has some very good info on dishes, switches and lnbs and how to set them up for use with your Ultra. Even though it is incorporated in the Pansat Manual, this information extends to use by an Ultra. Good luck.
