Hello everyone
I got a problem with my receiver 4900. It does not see the satelilte signal. It is like it is not connected. It shows the adquairing signal thing but when I got into menu and check there is no recognition of any signal at all. I do know that the signal is there because my other receiver is working fine. I changed card and still the same.
Does any one have had this problem before? any advice?

Thank guys

Yes It worked before. I had it off the stream for a while and now I am trying to get it working again. It looks more like a hardware problem because when I erease the sa 30 it does not do anything because it does not see it. there is no signal

It is a flash problem. I had one that I had the same problem with.

If you have a good backup flash put it in and it will be alright.

If you do not have a good backup you will have to find a working flash to put in it that it will accept, I looked for months and tried 30 - 40 flashes before someone gave me one that worked.

Post your sticker config maybe I can send you a good one.

There's 2 here. One is a ccha but I hear it's only the first three letters that are important. The other one is a P215 but it should update. Merry Christmas!! :)

Smilingjack- If you've got an oddball build that you know isn't corrupt, please upload it to the download page. That way other people can use it too. It seems like the tsop bank has a few bad images for 3900/4900's. Don't forget to open your image in flashedit and zero out your box keys and receiver id prior to uploading.

Merry Christmas SJ :)

I posted the .bin & EPROM in the files section but I can't find it. maybe it will show up sooner or later.

P.S. The TSOP Bank has / had a lot of bad images and ECM'ed flashes in it. Why somebody would edit their # out and make it a public dump and not hit ecm fixat the same time is beyond me.

There are also very few 4700 / 4900 flashes in the bank, I scoured the web for the ones I got. Finally got one from a mod's personal 4900 that did work, the 4900 is a fussy IRD sometimes.

I don't know how long it takes to get on the list

It is a CCFD at P-216 and it is currently working fine in the IRD I got it for.

I have a bunch more if you need to try them, like I said I looked for months before I got it to accept one and come back to life. Most of the time it would not turn either on....or it would not turn off. But it always took another flash OK.

It just could not see the stream. People kept saying I was not aimed right which I disproved by buying another one and it got a 115/120 signals. Then they said it was fried which I disproved by finding a particular flash that made it work, the 32nd try I believe. The one I just sent you.

If it does not turn up in the TSOP bank post back here again and I will post it here.

I have tried some, even the original one that was working when it was on the stream originally, I had it in a backup file just in case and it did not work. I am going to look for that one you uploaded to see how it goes.
Thank you a lot.
