View Full Version : 7200 not recording PPV's

I am having trouble getting the 7200 receiver I have to record Pay-Per-View anything. It has no problem recording regular channels but when set to record a Pay-Per-View movie for eg. it will only record approx. 11 minutes or so and then stop recording. While watching the PPV channels I also get some times a message where it asks me to purchase the ppv movie and after a couple of seconds the message goes away and goes back to movie. Also been trying to update to P125 but no luck, I think my mic lock is not unlocking when I insert an mini plug to two rca jack adapter in the mic jack. I will try removing the wire physically to update but the PPV problem is getting real annoying.
Are you putting the Dishplayer and 9 day EPG tiers on your card? You can find the tiers in the sticky thread in the receiver section. It sounds like you don't have the Dishplayer tier on there to me. Do you have your receiver to update without your permission and then turning it off with the remote when you try to get new firmware?

Yes I have the 7100/7200 tier on the cam and I get everything including a 9 day guide. As for the permission to update, you don't have that on a 7100/7200 receiver only on the regular receivers eg. 2700/301/etc.

i've been looking for the step by step instructions about how to add the 7200 tiers to an existing pgf, my 7200 is working perfect except i still get the "you can only watch 10 minutes of r ecorded programs" messege. thank you for your help and merry christmas
