510 mc2 issuse

I have reprogramed my 510 with an edited bin and changed 7fffffac to 0000 and my reciever will still not allow me to use my mc2 any tips and trick left up anyones sleeve

Did you resize the harddrive?
A 120 gig must be set to 80gig to allow MC and blue cards.

but it wont work on the initial boot. it still tells me i have a card that is not compatible, (i don't have the hard drive hooked up)

You need a yelllow card to boot with a virgin firmware. A virgin card is what I use, and it stays virgin while marrying the harddrive.

ok i got it to marry to the reciever after 2 weeks of straight bull shit. now all i need to know is

1 should i be able to record right away even b4 it has updated

2 i change 7fffffac after the reciever hs updated

the 510 mod has been thoroughly dicsussed........be warned, use the 4 wire 2 trace cut method, or risk frying the CPU and or flash chips.

Figure it out?? It has been figured out for sometime......same as any other 501/508/510 vid mod.
