2700 Firmware Update

Gents, I can't seem to get my 2700 to update to the newest firmware. Still on E308. Can't get it to automatically update (by shutting power off and leaving it). Is there a way to force it?

How about converting CSDA E508 firmware to CATA? Can I do that somehow?

jtag and erase sector SA5 to force the update.

Tried erasing SA5, but it didn't update. The light flashed indefinitely. Wouldn't stop, though. Used the CATA E408 firmware in the TSOP bank and changed it for my box. Have all the channels now (minus NFL).

Wondering what the E508 firmware does?

Go to menu then software settings and check to see if ask before downlaoding is checked if it is not fine if it is uncheck and check other.
Might be issue.
