What should the Maxtor 120 GB HD ( 510) jumper be set on ?

It is set on CS now but this is a brand new drive i got from tiger direct , i have searched the forums but have not found a solid answer , I think its supposed to be on master for the 50X & 5X00 Pvr ? is this correct ( master setting on Maxtor HD )

Finished 2 510 to 508 conversions today so I am sure of that setting.

CS is always a safe setting for a hard drive, it will usually work whether it is really a master or a slave in most applications.

But don't worry about hurting something, if you put a jumper on the wrong setting it just won't work, you won't hurt anything.

The power cable is the dangerous one.
DON'T just shut off the computer. PULL THE PLUG OUT FIRST.
Reversed polarity here will burn it up before you see the flash.

Just finished another one, and forgot to move the jumper to master when installed in my PC, left it on CS, it resized and zeroed just fine.
