Hello everyone
I got a 301-13 and when I tried to read the box key and ird from the TSOP, all I got was BK: FFFFFFF.. and IRD # 0000000...Then when I tried to go to flash programing it said
"The flash codes returned are not recognized by jKeys. Mfg/Device codes returned are 1/22F6(JEDEC) and 103/3130 (FlashFile)."

the same thing happens with the R79 grounded. I haven tried with the VId on because from what I understood it is only good for writting.
Questions:
Is is ok to have had that outcome or somebady messed the receiver up?
If I am able to re-write the flash with a plublic dump how would I get the box key?

I hope the super minds here can help me.
Thank you guys in advance.

Is there a lock installed? Sounds like something is either blocking the flash or the flash is empty or severely corrupt.
If there is no lock, then editing the jkeys def file will prolly get you going.

If editing the jkeys def file gets you in and you still can't get boxkeys, you'll have to reflash with a public or other dump and make up some boxkeys or use some from another receiver, boxkeys are NOT receiver specific, they are simply stored in the flash and can be changed to suit.

Download the version of Jkeys especially for the 301.13 from the downloads and try again. I bet you just need a version of jkeys with the right def file; probably have a one chip 301.13 your woriking with.

There are several posts on editing the def file, the 103/3130 (FlashFile) error is common when the flash cannot be read correctly.
Editing the def file would depend on which flash chip is installed, the AMD or the ST.

You won't need to edit the Jkeys defs if you download the newest jkeys version, with the proper definitions. You can find the definitions for Jkeys for the 301.13. Make sure you know if your IRD is a single or dual TSOP model. This can be found out by looking at the board and physically seeing if there is one or two TSOPs. Once you know what you have, just do a search and find the correct definition for your model of 301.13. I'm pretty sure the download section has them somewhere. Then just put the def file in the Jkeys defintion and it will recognize your receiver properly.
