What happened to the MODS

I have been reading old threads, I remember a few months back something happened with 4X4 and we were told he would not be back, he was'nt banned, but just chose to not come back.
While I was browsing old threads, I see his moderator status has been taken down as he is just listed as a registered member. That seems logical to me.

EXCEPT...

By glancing thru threads posted or replied by DARNAT, he is still listed as a Mod and until recently, had been thrown out many months ago.

What gives??? You got 4X4 tied in a closet or something? He got me started and I miss his advise.

4x4's departure was by choice. I think he had a real life to get on with. He's a real life hero you know. One of those rare guys that spends his career helping others. Darnat and Mili had a difference that got out of control, and as far as I can tell, it started because of a file that was uploaded and had a virus or trojan or something. I'm sure there was more to it than that, but only the mods that were around then could tell you the inside story....and it's probably better that you don't ask. That kind of thing shouldn't be aired out in public. What ever the difference was it's been swept under the carpet and even though Darnat is no longer a mod here, a peace treaty has been signed. Myself, I'd like to see both of them spending more time on here. Tthey both have a lot to offer our community. :)

Not trying to air out the dirty laundry.... I was just wondering if Darnat is a mod or not.
His signature says Visiting Moderator, but he does have the moderator under his name.
I just wanted a little clarification, not a soap opera.

Yes Darnat is back but only as a visiting Mod. He says he will be visiting once in while.
