I need some info on downloading the channel lineup. I did a power search with my fortec ultra. I then downloaded the channel that it found both fta channel and charlie. I have save it. Now, I need to know if I upload a new channel list will I lose my fta channel? Will it overwrite what is stored in the receiver? Also what list should I download? There seem to be two list, one has correction for a certain lnbf. I have a single lnbf on a h/h motor.

The short answer is when you download a channel list to the stb with gtools it will rewrite the channel bin. A scan will add to the channel bin at the end of existing channels if I understand what you are asking. Terminology- download is updating the stb from your pc/upload is saving data from the stb to your pc/scan you save to stb.

You are right I have the terminology mixed up...thx. Trying to save my radio station. Any suggestion on a channel list...remember I have a single lnbf on a h/h motor?

I would recommend the Official Dish 2000 list. It comes in several versions, East Coast, West Coast and other areas. Which would suit you?

bud, i ran across something that I believe will suit you better than the 2000 list I mentioned above. Use the 1000 list in the attached zip file for the area you need. The 2000 list has a lot of c-band sats you prob dont need, so if you use the 1000 list which is made for dss sats you dont need to worry bout making any deletions to list. If you do decide you want to c&p some locals onto your list from the spotbeam list, use the channel master editing program.
