Does he have a Dish Pro Quad LNB? You can not use legacy Receivers, 2700, with Dish Pro LNB's/Switches without a Dish Pro Adapter.

eBay has plenty. Do an internet search and you will find plenty.

You can check out:

For more info on LNB's and Switches.

Or, replace the Dish Pro Quad LNB with a Legacy Quad LNB.
Dish Pro Receivers will work with Legacy LNB's/Switches
