found a dish 2200 uhf in my travels and read the ird would not update on charlies stream used the rom2 to get the info put the ird on charlies stream and the ird upgarded from 700 to 712 right away
i wrote a rom10 with mili s blocker and did a check switch and i have a fully functioning dish 2000 ird seeing both sats 119 and 110 this ird for a grey box is fast and rumored to be ecm resistant so far
i read somewhere dish was accepting the 2200 ird s and 3200 irds 5000irds for a upgrade why would they do this if these 3 irds are not a concern for them maybe? they dont seem to ecm them from what i have seen in forums anyone else have exp with the 2200 or 3200 or 5000 irds
thanks

got a 2150 and a 2200 both at rev 710 dishnetwork firmware. Used both for Bev with no ppvs and porn. Until fall 2003 when dish firmware wouldnt work for bev.
So we started using them for Dish. A few months ago the 2200 took a drop and lost sat signal. So I tried the sat feed riser board from a junked 3200 and still no signal. A couple days ago I cleaned it up and hooked it to my Bev feed just to see if there was any signal. I went to grab a remote, turned around and I`ll be damned if there wasn`t a picture. Checked the guide and there`s wide open bev with no ppv and porn, just like the old days. Some channels come on a little slow.
Did a check switch and the polarity is reversed on the odd transponders.
I sold the 2150, so I can`t test that one on the bev feed. gonna try to borrow it and give it a try. Also got to hook this one back to dish feed and see if it works now. I`ll post the results...

i took the hidden sirus tiers , the 9 day guide ,dishplayer 7220 personal tv service tier and ARY digital [621] tier off and applied this with mili s blocker on a rom10. found this speed the 2200 up drasticly
2200 on bev heard it could be done but no one confirmed so i assume it is like the 301 013 does not get all the chanels because bev did not have these irds?
curious why dish would offer upgrades on these irds does this mean they can not ecm the ird any chance the 2200 could work in the nagra2 stream
thanks

I have a 2200 @ 712P and a 2150 @ 708P, so will try the Bev experiment today. I can tell you the both these software versions are immune from the TSOP ECM (Loc ID= 00000001)
