I converted a dish 3900 to bev 4700 done basicly the same way as 3900 to 2700 only no converson for the image. i took a 4700-14ab-ccgd-10h-e526 (softlock public) image from the bank put the 3900 info ird ect saved the public dump in flash edit 2.02 and then saved the virgin image flashed my created tsop and eprom to the 3900 after confirming the ird change i erased SA30 and put it to the bev stream and 15 min the ird upgraded to 4700c and was good to go
one thing i did notice
this ird was working with a 2700 bev image and on the porn chanels would not give the smart card swap warning (which by selecting ok gives you the porn till the end of feb they say ,)
and with the 4700 image on the 3900 it gives the warning on the porn chanels with same script on cam as do the newer irds ie 508,501,301,
weither this is better than the 3900-2700 conversion not sure you loose the volume control when its a 4700 but you do gain timers
this did enable the ird to update as the 2700 image does not and if you erase sa30 and put it back to charlie its supposed to upgrade to a 4900 have not confirmed the back to charlie personally yet but 4700 s upgrade to 4900s this way
