Ird went crazy on me!!!

Well I have a 301-010, the problem is that he keeps changing the channels y it self and when I get on the menu the menu is to acting strange like if I where pressing the channels button and It does not stop. So I just want it to check if some of you have had this problem, or what could be the problem and how to take it back to normal.

This might work might not. When I have a ird that acts goofy or before I trash it I at least try a hard reboot. With remote push the buttons on the remotemenu,6,3,info,right arrow,left arrow, tv/vcr then unplug for 10 mins. Worked for me today on a 3000 I was going through my trash recs trying one last time to fix them. As you know a 3000 is not jtagable so I had the box keys off a subd card a popped card with mod loader to get, then jumpered it it took the updates but when the picture would come down it would be black I checked and tripple checked the box keys and ird number off the original read of the card and as a last ditch efford tried the Hard Reboot Wham it worked.

I would also try reloading the flashes if you have not. I hope this helps.

If you get stuck, and think the IR receiver could be bad, let me know, I have a couple bad boards I can pull one from.
