TOPS question?? Please help!

I have a 2700 model receiver. I Jtag it ok, got box key but only received a few channels so after reading alot I seen that I must update my TOPS. So I follow the instructions, do full erase and reload an update. So during the erase process it errors out and now my receiver will not even power up? Any ideas???

What you should have done was to erase sector SA 5 not do a complete erase.If you can,erase the TSOP again 2 times. Next you open up the receiver and see what build you have. Will be a paper sticker with 4 letters on it.Search for a TSOP build(public File download on this site) that has the 1st 3 letters that match or all 4 if you are lucky enough.Next you download a program called Flash Edit so you can edit in your Box Keys and receiver number and save it as a personal bin.also in flash edit you will create a virgin Eeprom.Reprogram the Flash using J Keys with the Bin you created,then re-program the Eeprom. Should work when you are done. Suggest you do lots more reading,tons of good info on this site.Good Luck

Obviously u havn't read enough. Why didn't you let the ird update by itself?

I also got a 3700 but i cant revive it for the life of me.

It used to work but i had to rewrite the tsop and diddnt have backups. The one in the bank wont let me reciever update ( I think its old 2003 ) just keeps saying downloading vital info but let it download for like 2 hours and nothing ... any suggestions?..My build is cbfd and the closest in the bank 3 letters but when i save the eeprom and put in the build config after i save it as cbfa instead of cbfd but when it ask i put in cbfd...Thanks in advanced.
