I recently got hit by a ECM. I could not get the sector to erase so I erased the whole flash. Afterwards I could not find the saved tsop so I used flash edit and created a new one. It worked perfectly and display sthee correct IRD# in the jkeys box, but when I insert the card into the receiver it displays a totally different number. This wouldn't normally be a problem but I use a sub card in the box as well. Please can anyone offer any help...

Turn the IRD off, pull the plug.

Put the sub card in and plug it back in.

Once it come up with the picture and guide take the sub out and put the MC in.
That should clear the memory.

If it dosen't You will have to J-Tag and check the numbers on the IRD and make sure you have the right ones.

You do have the latest MC program don't you and a current P-# on the flash you used, some IRD's are sensitive to P-#'s being current. If not let it update with the plastic the try again.

Are you sure the flash you made is the right one ?

The only thing I matched up when i got the tsop from the net was the building config. It worked perfectly, all except the IRD# is wrong. I could always reprogram my rom 3 to match that # but, I have a sub that I like to use to during ECM's or when I don't have a good script. That is why it is important that I get the right IRD# back on the box. When I push detect in jkeys it will give me the correct #, but when I plug it up to the tv it gives a totally different number. Thanks for your help.

You have to change the numbers on the flash to match your plastic.

Open flash edit and load the .bin

click on advanced then open

click on the IRD number and write yours in exactly like it is in flash edit.

go to boxkey and do the same thing.

Go to the top and check ECM fix (always do this)

then check fix CRC (always do this too)

goto save as and save as a personal dump.

Then load the eprom into flash edit, it will make it a virgin.

Use J-Keys to put these new files in your IRD.

That will solve your problem.

If you need more instructions there are several flashedit and J-Tag guides in the store section.

Well i followed your instructions word for word and still no luck. I've also tried programming my card to match the IRD# on the screen with no luck. I don't understand how I can read the correct number in jkeys and another number on the screen.

For some reason the numbers are not getting into the IRD

Are you erasing the flash on the IRD before programing it.

Are you sure you do not have two .bin files.

What kind of IRD is it and dose it have one or two flashes. (.bin)'s

IE 301.10 / 301.13 / 200 / 4900

Are you on dish or bev

what is the P-# on the screen

I thought the ird was a 301.010 I made a jtag port where the sticker (dumbass move on my part). But from what I 've seen all the building config's that are dajd like mine are 301.013, it does have two tsops. When I copied the tsop originally I used the version of jkeys that is for 1 tsop, therefore I have 4 mb file. I hope this sheds some light on my situation. Thanks for all your help.

I thik you can use a regular buffered J-Tag from the bottom on a 301.13 but I am not sure. I only have 301.10's.

Go to the files section, get the J-Keys for the dual TSOP 301.13.

Get a new dual flash for it.

Make your eporm a virgin.

Flashedit both the new bins to your IRD (plastic card) numbers.

Install all three files in the IRD with the right J-Key program.

Then your plastic and IRD should match, try it with the plastic.

Then program the magic Card to the same numbers and try it.

This should get you working again.

Be sure it is a current P-xxx flash, a lot of the public flashes are older and out of date. If it is not let it update first before trying the magic.

(Just put the flash in try it. if it works set the controls to take updates without permission and turn it off for a while, leave it plugged in with the plastic in it.

If you leave your TV on when you turn the IRD off you will be able to see it update on the screen, it will say "receiving important information do not turn off or disturb" usually takes five minutes or less)

is your subbed card a yellow card? if it is that is why the yellow card won't work, it uses information that lies elsewhere in the receivers tsop, You have to find your original flash, what recevier are you using? I have been playing with a 510 I got and i noticed in flashedit that there is a "moved bootstrap" and a "moved ird info" option, I had to use the ird option to get the box keys for a rom 10 into the right place of the tsop,

He says he was using a sub card and a magic card camless as well.
You Can't do that with a yellow card.

well if he has a older receiver and recently got the yellow card, I suppose it would be possible. I got a 301.013 off of ebay with original yellow card a month or so ago that didn't need vidmodded, so you could of swapped that one back and forth without any problems, it was the single tsop SJ, but I do see your point,

Sjdid i miss a memo....i thought that camless testing such as mc and atmega would still function except for n2 only channels (if there are any yet on dish..bev has them)...i have one mc1 card i haven't burned up yet and all my rcvrs have been activated on the new bev cams...should i not even bother playing around with the mc camless??
