Hey guys iam going to to a bev to dish change before feb 28. ( no more porn on bev). I have 2 bev 18'' dishes and i want to lock in on the dish bird then erase the first sector of flash 1. I can only get the 119 bird at 61% and i cant find the 110 at all. Is 61% enough to do the change and also why cant i get the 110 bird? Do i need a bigger dish. Can someone in Regina,Sask conferm they get both 110,119 off a 18" bev dish. Thanks C-man

Use transponder 11 on 119 and 110 for aiming the dishes, Some of the lower ones are spotbeamed. You will want 110 for porn, The good stuff is on that bird.

Hey Birdi.... just curious as I have never attempted. Would it be possible to aim dish at charlie and perform the JYF instead of erasing sector in flash 1???
would it convert that way?

Noooooooooooo, not the JYF!!!!
Cman, i'm next door to you and get both sats, no problem. 110 is slightly over from bell and 119 is slightly over from 110 and down a smidge. SW21 switch required and more than 61% is needed to get a good lock.

I am not looking for an opinion on the junk yard fix. I am merely interested if it would accomplish the same thing.

the JYF is called that cos it can send it to the junk yard, if you dont have a jtag it is easy to assemble, it is must safer to do it correctly, this will also let you save the tsops and eeprom in case you need to restore. Also do not forget to reprogram to card to a dish.

Holy fuck it is hard to get a simple answer in here! As stated above, I am not looking for an opinion on the junk yard fix. I am quite aware of the risks!!!
I have tons of 3100 so that is not a god damn concer to me.
I am merely interested to see if it could be done? I do not want to do it, just curious is all!
By the way... I do own a JTAG and have back ups of all my receivers thank you very much!

you'll probably be happier with dishnet using a 24" pan from your locale...2 of them are required to get both sats...i'm a little further north and west of ya and 110 comes in stronger that 119....am looking for a 36" to bring in 119 better...(its coming in at 60ish on 24" with 110 hitting at 85 to 105)....
