I got my lock installed last night and everything was working good, I did manage to break a leg off of a chip in the process, but I had to cut the trace to that leg anyway, receiver worked great but when I got up this morning for work it was stuck in the dreaded reboot loop that oddcircuits made the new flash for, I am wondering what I can do to cure this problem? I am going to take the cover off the 510 and make sure all connections are good. I had to unplug the receiver and plug it back in to fix the problem, no big deal but I would like to resolve it with the lock.

Reflash the lock with the flash they released to combat that problem.

sorry skinerd, maybe I was unclear about that, I did do just that, has to be a bad connection somewhere, or perhaps that leg I broke off the chip is at fault.

Well my just turn itself on around mid nite. But no problem with rebooting. Sometime I'll just power it off with the remote. My AR105-C lock is flash with the latest ver. too.

I read your post about the broken chip, it sounds like, as you describe, the chip at the trace cut, which is a resistor network (4 33ohm resistors in a common package), if all you hurt was the corner I don't think that is a problem.

I measured resistance at all four legs on one side and then on the leg opposite the chip and they all gave me 33 ohms, I didn't think they made resistors like that so I wrote it off as being a resistor package, I was at my grandmas house tonite setting up my uncles computer and my other uncle came in with chest pains and left arm killing him, he was real confused, my other uncle rushed him to the hospital so I was a little shook up over that and didn't take the cover off to check all of the ar105c connections, I think that is what is going to be the problem, It is ok when I run the favorites list test, it does reset, I did reflash the lock after installing it so maybe I should do the first time install thing where you have to wait for 10 seconds, turn the lock off, wait 10 seconds, blah blah blah, you know the procedure, just a little shook up tonite to be dealing with things of that nature when it comes to the lock connections. Also it was going to the leg of the network that the trace gets cut too.

I finally took the cover off and sure enough the LT wire came loose, I resoldered it back on and this morning I wasn't stuck in the loop. Thanks for the help skinderd.
