I got a 501 PVR that is subbed with bev and I'm using the magiccard with and have a new digital lock on it.
My problem is that if I shut the IRD off over nite in the morning the only way to start the IRD is to unplug it, then plug it back in. Then it has to load the program info and away it goes.
Is this normal for these IRD's with a lock or is there something I can do,?
I just leave it on at nite which is no big deal but I would rather shut it down.

What type of lock did you install on your ird? If it is a AR105-C from oddcircuits.com. You might want to try flashing it with their ver. 1.6 flash. My does not have that problem but it does turn itself on around midnite.

Hightech installed it and i'll contact them, just thought I would check here first.

It seems that is normal for 501's and 508's with any type of lock. Disable the inactivity power off (menu, 6, 1, 9) button and see if that works. If not, just leave the power on constantly if the box is well ventilated. They seem to have a mind of their own.
