Reciever 4700

I have a 47oo Reciever. I have tried everything and for some reason cant get it get more channels other than the music and preview channels. The box is up to date, no ecm's everything looks good just cant understand whats up. If anyone can help thank you all

Are you sure you have the current firmware.

What is the current firmware for a 4700?

where can i check and how do i update the firmware.

You can check you software version in system info,somone else will know I don't know what the verson is now for the 4700-I don't use one. In the menu there is a place for you to select to get updates automatically,click that and hit save,then if there are any upgrades it will get them.

I believe the current firmware for the 4700 is P217.

If you do not have the current firmware, you should turn the receiver off for about 30 minutes and it should update on it's own.

This should solve your problem.

BTW make sure the receiver is set to 'update without permission'.

You can do this in the menu options.

what hardware or software are you using to test this ird?

I believe the current firmware for the 4700 is P217.

The Dish 4900 firmware is P217. The Bev 4700 is E526 (I think...at work can't check it for sure)
