I just got hit after months of no problem, Not sure if it is PPV or what they are hitting.
I have to j-tag and get the IRD back before i can test.

So Heads up if you have not been hit yet

I can confirm that I have no ppv on 508 and was hit. I do have multiple locals though for the eastern seaboard.... My 301.013, same everything, is still up and kicking however...

Self compiled CEMU 0.9 running on SuSE Linux 9 and homemade max/mel.

BTW - first time since Oct 27 for me, by my count too.

Unlike most people, I keep sector by sector copies of my flashes as my equipments' firmware is upgraded. If you have a look at my post from the last time I was ecm'd (back on Oct 27 --> http://www.dssftp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33475) you will see exactly which bytes to edit in SA60 to fix the ecm. I trust you have a jtag and know how to use it...

To make life a bit easier for ya, here is a C&P of my Oct 27 post:

--- begin cut & paste ---

FYI - it would appear the ecm sector has moved from SA61 to SA60 with firmware version P223 as per below:

C:\TEMP>FC /B PVR508_P223_FLASH2_SA60_ECM'D.BIN PVR508_P223_FLASH2_SA60_GOOD.BIN

Comparing files PVR508_P223_FLASH2_SA60_ECM'D.BIN and PVR508_P223_FLASH2_SA60_GOOD.BIN
00002D8E: 78 FF
00002D8F: 88 FF
00002D90: B4 FF
00002D91: 4F FF
00002D92: 14 FF

Firmware version P222 was located at SA61.

--- end cut and paste ---

BTW - it only took me about 60 seconds to fix my 508 tonight - its taken my wife about 30 minutes now trying to set her recording timers back up... :-)

Oh, and I can't remember if I posted it here or over at kickin, but about 8 or 9 months ago I posted an "auto-it v3" script to automate sector by sector backups of flashes (you can find it here: http://www.dssftp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25832). Have a look for it if you have several different recievers you want to backup. Over at kickin I'm know as IAM JellyBean.

its just a software upgrade redo TSOP and you should be fine, it's not the card thats hit it's the receiver
