ECM hit 501 thru lock, lost menu

501 has programmable digi lock, but when today's ecm hit the ird went dead, the screen went black and the red and green lights started flashing on and off. Unplugging and replugging did not help, the lights just kept flashing.

Turned off the lock and the ird reset, was able to watch tv again. The hard drive was erased, oddcircuits had warned this might happen. Noticed some channels were missing, thought perhaps a switch test was needed, but pressing menu just turns off the box - can't pull up any menu.

Any ideas how to get the menu back?

Turned off the ird overnight, but the problem persists. Only getting half the channels, and can't open the menu. Very strange. Help!

Turn lock off, bring up menu, then lock the unit back. You should then be able to do a switch test.
