New to this forum with a question:
I just got a 310-10 receiver that was suspose to be operational. Would not power up so I jTaged. All I get for box keys is FF FF FF etc and a bunch of 000000 for rec # finishing with a 09-1. Tried all versions of jTag I have. Could not get into programming mode for jTag. Is this receiver toast or is there something I can do to revive it. Still doing a lot of reading on the subject - any guidence would be greatly appreciated

First make sure you are jtagiing for a LSI device, 301-005 010 and 3100's are a little different than other units. If you have no luck with Jkeys a program called "Wall" can sometimes be handy for restoring these models.

After I get to the first screen of jTag and try to go to flash programming I get the following error - LSI control unavailable using slow programming - Do I need that wall program to access the IRD. This is the first time I have worked on a 301 model. Any idea on where I can find that program. Thanks in advance

you need to get a program called wall and the 301-10 resurrect files from the files sectiion

If you got it into slow programming it will work but take about 6 hours. I'd probably let it finish while you can get it into programming mode yet.

Thank you for the responses. I think it would be best if I got that 301 resurrection guide since I have no idea what I am doing here, but I cannot find it. Looked everywhere. Is it under a different name in the files section? I did get Walls from the files section and a virgin 301-010 file but have no idea what I am doing with it and do not want to make things worse.

Get Flashedit also to edit that tsop's ird and boxkeys also, Public files usually have the info changed. If you don't have any luck on the guide I have it on the home computer after about 8 pm tonight.
